How To Have A Pet-Safe Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving is a time to feast with the whole family, though subtle dangers can linger for your pet. Here are a few tips to help avoid an unwanted trip to the vet.
- No Bones About It: If you decide to treat your pet to a small bite of turkey, make sure it’s fully cooked and boneless.
- Guard The Trash: Keep garbage secured and away from pet access, no snacking on those plastic wrappers or onion scraps, Fido!
- Trim The Fat: Rich and fatty foods like gravy and poultry skin can cause painful indigestion for cats and dogs, so avoid giving table scraps. If you must sneak a tiny share, stick to unbuttered vegetables like green beans or sweet potatoes.
